Professional Training: Every Pillar To Post home inspector is trained in the classroom and in the field. You can have confidence in the fact that all Pillar To Post inspectors are required to continually upgrade their skills and to keep current with new technologies and professional standards.

Michael Omiunu - Owner & Licensed Home Inspector
Michael is the owner and lead inspector of The Michael Omiunu Team, part of the Michael & Les Pillar To Post Calgary group. He brings together business acumen, risk management expertise, and a genuine passion for helping people make confident decisions about their homes.
Michael holds a degree in Business Management with a major in finance. Before transitioning into home inspection and business ownership, he spent 12 years working at Canada’s largest banks, first in financial planning and later in financing for businesses. In those roles he helped families and entrepreneurs understand risk, build long-term plans, and use real estate as a key tool for creating generational wealth. That experience directly informs how he approaches home inspections today: clear explanations, a focus on protecting your investment, and an emphasis on long-term thinking rather than just “passing or failing” a house.
Outside of work, Michael is a lover of travel and good food, always eager to explore new places and cultures. He enjoys staying active through hiking, basketball, and tennis, and is an avid reader and lifelong learner—constantly studying building science, real estate trends, and ways to improve the client experience. As an animal lover, he also understands how important “home” is for every member of the family, two-legged or four-legged.
For buyers, sellers, and realtors across Calgary, Michael’s blend of financial expertise, inspection training, and approachable communication style helps turn a stressful step in the process into a structured, informative, and empowering experience.
"I was very happy with the experience of working with Michael from Pillar to Post for my home inspection. I purchased a property from out of province, and Michael made me feel very confident that I knew exactly what to expect. He took a ton of time to go over everything with me, explained in great detail, but was never condescending. I would highly recommend." - Kasey Dunn
"Prompt, professional, thorough - exactly what we needed for contemplating the purchase of an investment property!" - Ira Hanson-Ralph
"Michael has been a great home inspector to work with and my clients have consistently been impressed by his knowledge and his kind demeanor during this sometimes stressful process. I am always happy to refer Michael and Les to my real estate clients as I know they will walk away 100% pleased with the thoroughness of the inspection. Thank you Michael!!" - Young-Mi Kwon, Realtor/Property Manager

Les Rojek - Senior Home Inspector
Les is the long-time backbone of the Michael & Les Pillar To Post Team in Calgary. He has been inspecting homes professionally since April 1997 and brings deep, hands-on knowledge of Calgary’s diverse housing stock—from 1980s suburbs and infill projects to century homes and new construction.
Having moved to Calgary in 1980, Les has seen the city grow and evolve through multiple real estate cycles, building code changes, and neighbourhood transformations. That long view gives him a unique perspective on local construction practices, typical issues by era, and how Calgary’s climate (freeze–thaw cycles, Chinooks, hail, and dry winters) affects homes over time. When Les walks through a property, he is not just looking at what is visible today; he is also thinking about how the home is likely to perform years into the future.
Like all inspectors on the team, Les is provincially licensed and has completed extensive Pillar To Post classroom and field training, with ongoing professional development to stay current with new technologies and standards. He inspects every home—whether it is a brand-new build, a townhome, or a 100-year-old character property—with the same diligence, objectivity, and professionalism.
Away from the job, Les is a dedicated family man who loves being a grandpa. He enjoys photography and woodworking—interests that mirror the patience, attention to detail, and craftsmanship he brings to each inspection. Whether he is fine-tuning a piece in the workshop or capturing a landscape through his lens, Les brings the same careful, observant approach that has made him a trusted home inspector for thousands of Calgary families.
For buyers, sellers, and realtors, working with Les means working with an inspector who has truly “seen it all” in Calgary homes—and who is committed to sharing that knowledge in a clear, practical way so you can move forward with confidence.
"On top of carrying out a thorough inspection of my client's home, Les and Mike also provide knowledge on how to maintain their home in the coming years." - Art Summer
"Les was great. Takes his job serious but at the same time we had a few laughs during our home inspection. Ken was professional, very knowledgeable and efficient. Thanks again." - Peter C VM
"If you are looking at home inspection look no further. Mike and Les are amazing people to work with, kind, professional and extremely good at what they do. We have used their services twice already, recommended them to friends and will continue using their services. For peace of mind whether you are building a new home or need your current home inspected PILLAR TO POST has it all covered." - Farzana Tewari

Newton - Chief Cuddle Officer & Neighbourhood Tour Guide
Newton is a labradoodle and one of our very enthusiastic team mascots. If you have seen a fluffy white dog proudly wearing a Pillar To Post hat, that was probably Newton on his way to "inspect" the nearest park.
Energetic is an understatement. Newton loves to play, be chased, and turn even the shortest coffee break into a fetch break. Walks are serious business - every new sidewalk, tree, and front step must be thoroughly investigated. He considers these outings his contribution to the "community research" for the team.
When the exploring is done, Newton transforms into a major cuddle bug. He is happiest when he can flop down beside his people, preferably half on your lap and half on your paperwork, offering moral support while reports are being written.
Around the office, Newton specializes in:
• Welcoming visitors with a full-body wag.
• Supervising snacks.
• Demonstrating the importance of a warm, comfortable home.
If your inspector shows up covered in a suspicious amount of dog hair, there is a good chance they just received a quality-control cuddle from Newton.

Radish - Director of Neighborhood Watch & Quiet Support
Radish is a miniature Australian shepherd and our other )slightly more dignified) team mascot. Where Newton brings the party, Radish brings the calm, thoughtful observation - she is the introvert of the group and takes her role very seriously.
Reserved and a little shy around other dogs, Radish prefers a respectful amount of personal space, especially from overly enthusiastic furry colleagues. With people she knows and trusts, however, she is all heart: loving, gentle, and happiest when she can simply be near her family while they work or relax.
Radish loves walking her community, carefully monitoring every cul-de-sac, boulevard, and front yard. She has a sweet disposition and a talent for finding the sunniest patch of grass to stretch out on while keeping an eye on things - think of her as our unofficial "curb appeal consultant."
Her specialties include:
• Quietly supervising from a cozy spot.
• Offering soft head nudges during long days.
• Reminding everyone that home should feel safe, peaceful, and kind.
If you value a calm, steady presence, Radish is your mascot - proving every good inspection team needs both energy and serenity.
